Disposable cameras vs Mosaikin (UK, 2026)
Disposable cameras give a wedding the film look and a surprise when the prints come back, but each one holds 27 shots and every film is paid for again to develop. Mosaikin turns every guest’s phone into the camera: photos and videos land in one album during the day, and the whole event is priced once.
Built in the UK, for UK celebrations. Run under UK law, with safeguarding built in as standard: every photo is checked before it is shown, and we report what the law says we must. You keep the lot, and share it as and when you like in a digital guestbook and album.

Where disposable cameras are the better choice
The look and the wait. Film has a look of its own, and opening a packet of prints a week later is part of the fun. Some couples do both: a few cameras on the tables for the feeling, and Mosaikin for everything else.
Where Mosaikin is different
- Every guest already has the camera. Nobody waits for the camera to come round the table, and a full camera does not end the night.
- One price for the event, rather than a camera and a developing charge for every table.
- Seen on the day. Photos and videos reach the album as the day happens, and the live slideshow puts them on the venue’s screen.
- Checked before it is shown. Every photo and message passes a safety check, and anything uncertain waits for the host.

Questions people ask
How much do disposable cameras cost for a wedding?
On 30 October 2026, as one example, Jessops sold a 27-exposure Kodak FunSaver for £19.99 and developed a film onto 6×4 prints for £12.00, so each of the disposable cameras on the tables cost both. Ten tables means ten of each. Other shops and labs charge differently.
Can Mosaikin photos be printed?
Yes. Where prints are on sale, the host, or a guest when the host allows it, chooses photos from the gallery and Mosaikin prints them at 6×4 or 7×5 inches and posts them to a UK address. On an upgraded event the host can also download the whole archive and print it anywhere.
Do guests need an app to use Mosaikin instead of a disposable camera?
No. Guests scan a QR code on the table and use the phone’s browser, with no app and no account.
Can I use disposable cameras and Mosaikin together?
Yes. Put a few cameras out for the film look and the QR code beside them for everything else; once the prints come back, you have both.
