Festival photo sharing and a live photo wall for big nights
Mosaikin is festival photo sharing: a crowd’s photos in one gallery and on a live screen. Everyone there scans a QR code and uploads from the browser, with no app and no account. Uploads are built for poor signal, every photo is checked before it is shown, and your team moderates in batches. Planning something large? Talk to us first.
Built in the UK, for UK celebrations. Run under UK law, with safeguarding built in as standard: every photo is checked before it is shown, and we report what the law says we must. You keep the lot, and share it as and when you like in a digital guestbook and album.
Built for the signal you get
- Photos wait on the phone until the signal returns.
- The capture page opens offline once someone has visited it.
- Videos upload in pieces, so a dropped connection resumes.
What happens to festival photos when the signal drops?
They wait. Crowded venues have poor signal, and in reviews of other guest-photo apps the failure people find most upsetting is photos that never arrived. So the upload path assumes the connection will drop:
- Photos wait on the phone. Going offline, locking the phone or reloading the page does not lose them, and uploading resumes by itself.
- The capture page opens offline once someone has visited it, so a dead spot does not stop them taking photos.
- Each photo uploads on its own, so one failure does not take the others with it, and a failed one retries automatically.
- Videos upload in pieces, so a dropped connection resumes rather than starting again.
How does the big screen photo wall stay safe?
The slideshow keeps an open connection to the event and shows each photo moments after it is published. Only public photos that have passed their check can reach it. See How do I run the live slideshow?, and the wedding photo wall for the same screen at a reception.
- Safety checks on every photo and message before it appears; anything uncertain is held for a person. See Is Mosaikin safe?
- Batch moderation: approve or hide the whole queue in one go, with any photo the check flagged left to approve one by one, and invite colleagues as moderators.
- Auto-Hide Bad Photos clears blurry and dark shots from the gallery in one pass, without deleting them.
How big an event can it take?
Mosaikin runs on Google Cloud and is designed to scale out on demand. Day to day we hold capacity back on purpose, so a festival, an arena or an awards night tells us the date and the size of the crowd in advance, and we raise the ceilings and plan the day with you. We publish measured figures, not estimates, so we do not quote a crowd size until we have tested it.
Planning a festival, a gig or an awards night?
Every large event is tailored. Tell us the date and roughly how many people, and we will set up a call to plan it with you. Send us the details.
If the alternative is a WhatsApp group, a WhatsApp group or Mosaikin sets out where each one is the better tool.

Questions people ask
How many people can join one event?
There is no limit on the number of people; each plan sets a photo allowance for the event instead. For thousands of people at once, tell us about the event before the day, so the capacity is raised for it and the day is planned with you.
What happens when the venue’s signal drops?
Photos stay on the phone and upload when the connection returns. Videos resume from where they stopped rather than starting again.
Can we run a live photo wall at a festival?
Yes. The slideshow runs in a browser on whatever drives the screen and updates itself as photos are published. Only checked, public photos are shown.
Does anyone need an app?
No. People scan the QR code and use their phone’s browser, with no app and no account.
