About Mosaikin

Mosaikin is a UK event photo-sharing and keepsake platform. Guests scan a QR code and add photos, videos and guestbook messages from their phone’s browser, with no app and no account.

Who runs Mosaikin

Mosaikin was founded by Daniel Page, who runs it and writes the stories in the Journal. It is built in the UK, priced in pounds and run under UK law.

Hello, I’m Dan.

My love of building things began a very long time ago, when I was about ten and teaching myself PHP at the dawn of the internet. Life took me elsewhere for a while, but the spark never went out. Years later, a younger member of my family nudged me towards a language called Go, and I taught myself from scratch, one tutorial at a time. Alongside what I already knew of JavaScript and HTML, and plenty of learning from Google’s developer teaching on AI, it all came together in my first full-stack creation: Operation Corporation, a game of entrepreneurship. It was a hobby, and a nod to a game I loved as a young teenager in the internet’s earliest days, Project Rockstar.

Then, in November 2025, it was my parents’ 40th anniversary party. They were looking for a photographer, so I built a quick photo app in Go, Next and Flutter so everyone could add their moments. Watching them gather into one story, I knew I’d found something worth building. Taking voluntary redundancy to follow my love of web and tech was daunting, but it’s how Mosaikin was born.

I believe in it wholeheartedly. Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday or a festival with friends, Mosaikin gathers everyone’s moments into one cherished heirloom, something your heart will treasure for years to come. You choose who sees your collection, guests can keep a moment just for the host, and nothing appears until it has been checked.

It’s just me for now, so your support and enjoyment mean the world. As a host, you’ll find a suggestions and feedback form once you’ve signed up. I’ll read every message and do my best to reply, whatever you run into.

Life is there to be enjoyed. Capture it, and keep it as a keepsake.

Dan Xx

What Mosaikin does

  • Guests join from the browser. They scan the event’s QR code or open its link: no app to install and no account to make. See How do I join an event?
  • One gallery, on the big screen. Photos, videos and guestbook messages go into one gallery, and the live slideshow shows them as they arrive. See How do I run the live slideshow?
  • Nothing appears until it has passed a safety check, and the host and their moderators decide what stays. Location data is removed before a photo is stored. See Are photos checked before they appear?
  • The host keeps the lot. On an upgraded event, a download of every photo, the guestbook as a printable PDF and a highlight reel. See What is in the photo archive?
  • One payment per event, never a subscription, and guests always join free. See pricing.

How we keep photos safe, follow UK GDPR and report what the law requires is set out in Is Mosaikin safe?
