Mosaikin vs POV (UK, 2026)

Both collect guests’ photos from a QR code without an app download. POV is a disposable camera on the phone, priced by how many guests come, with shots and reveals the host sets. Mosaikin is priced by photo allowance with no limit on guests, takes video on every plan, and checks every photo before it appears.

Built in the UK, for UK celebrations. Run under UK law, with safeguarding built in as standard: every photo is checked before it is shown, and we report what the law says we must. You keep the lot, and share it as and when you like in a digital guestbook and album.

Side by side

POV and Mosaikin compared. POV figures were read from POV’s own pages on 30 October 2026, in US dollars, the only currency its pricing calculator showed.

Where POV is ahead

  • The game of it. A shot limit and a delayed reveal make a disposable camera out of every phone, and some groups love that.
  • A designed photobook today: POV’s team lays out a printed book from the event’s photos. Mosaikin is working with local printers to offer printed guestbooks and photo books, made from your event, through the Mosaikin Shop, and to point you to the best of them in the meantime.
  • Free for a very small group: up to ten guests on POV’s free tier, whereas Mosaikin’s Free plan is set by photos, not people.

Where Mosaikin is different

  • No guest count to guess. The price does not change with the guest list, because Mosaikin’s plans are set by photos, not people.
  • Video on every plan, including Free.
  • Checked before it is shown. Every photo and message passes a safety check, and anything uncertain waits for the host.
  • Nothing to install for anyone: the host sets up in the browser too.
  • Keepsakes beyond the photos: a printable guestbook, a highlight reel and a word cloud on an upgraded event. See how it works.

Questions people ask

Is Mosaikin cheaper than POV?

It depends on the guest list. POV prices by guests: on 30 October 2026 its calculator showed $34.99 for up to 100 guests and $89.99 for up to 250, in US dollars. Mosaikin prices by photo allowance with no limit on guests: Plus £25 or Premium £89. See pricing for the current figures.

Do guests need the POV app or the Mosaikin app?

Neither asks guests to download an app. POV uses App Clips on iOS and a web experience on Android. Mosaikin runs in the phone’s browser, with no account.

Can Mosaikin limit how many photos each guest takes, like a disposable camera?

Not as a game: Mosaikin has no shot counter or delayed reveal, and the event’s plan sets how many photos the whole event can hold. If the disposable-camera game is the point, POV is built for it.

Can I get a printed photo book from Mosaikin?

Not yet, but it is on the way. Mosaikin is working with local printers to offer printed guestbooks and photo books made from your event through the Mosaikin Shop, and to point you to the best of them in the meantime. Today an upgraded event gives you a printable guestbook PDF and the full archive to take to any printer.

Does Mosaikin take videos?

Yes, on every plan including Free: MP4, MOV and WebM, uploaded in chunks so a dropped connection resumes rather than starting again.
