A Google Photos shared album or Mosaikin for your wedding?
A Google Photos shared album is free, familiar and good for family photos. For a wedding it is one more album in someone’s library, and anyone with its link can add to it. Mosaikin gives the day one album built for guests, with a QR code, a live slideshow and every photo checked before it appears.
Built in the UK, for UK celebrations. Run under UK law, with safeguarding built in as standard: every photo is checked before it is shown, and we report what the law says we must. You keep the lot, and share it as and when you like in a digital guestbook and album.

Where a Google Photos album is the better tool
For a family that already shares in Google Photos, an album costs nothing extra and lives where everyone keeps their photos anyway. For a small gathering of people who all use it, that is often enough.
Where a shared album falls short for a wedding
- The link is the key. Anyone with it can view the album and add to it, so it has to stay among the people you meant to have it.
- A checked album is a different job. Mosaikin checks every photo and message before it appears, and anything uncertain waits for the host.
- It is made for a library, not a room of guests. Mosaikin adds what the day needs: a QR code for the tables, a live slideshow for the screen, a guestbook and a scavenger hunt, then an archive, a printable guestbook and a highlight reel on an upgraded event.
Those are the jobs Mosaikin is built for. Guests scan one code, every photo is checked before it is shown, and the host keeps the whole album. See how it works, and how it runs on the day at weddings and parties.
Questions people ask
Can I use a Google Photos shared album for wedding photos?
Yes, and for a small group who all use Google Photos it works. At a wedding the album link lets anyone who has it add photos, and the album is one more in someone’s Google Photos library rather than one made for the day, with a QR code, a live slideshow and a guestbook.
Do guests need a Google account to use Mosaikin?
No. Mosaikin guests scan a QR code or open a link in the phone’s browser, with no app, no account and no password.
Can I put the Mosaikin photos into Google Photos afterwards?
Yes. On an upgraded event the host downloads the full archive as a ZIP, at up to 4096 pixels on the longest edge, and can add it to Google Photos or anywhere else.
Does Mosaikin reduce photo quality?
Photos longer than 4096 pixels on their longest edge are resized in the browser before upload; a typical phone photo below that passes through at its own size. Every photo is re-saved without its camera metadata.
