How do I delete an event, and what goes with it?

Settings has Delete Event; it removes the event at once and erases every photo and message in it for good seven days later — or, if later, once any open report or unfinished print order on it is settled — and asks you to type the event name first.

At the bottom of the Settings tab. Because it takes everything with it — every photo, every guestbook message, the keepsakes and the archive — you are asked to type the event’s name to confirm. The event disappears at once; its photos, messages and stored image files are erased for good seven days later — or, if later, once any open report or unfinished print order on it is settled — and there is no undo. A mismatch cancels the deletion and nothing is touched.

If you last signed in more than five minutes ago, you are also asked to confirm it is you: enter your password, or, if you sign in with Google, choose Continue with Google, sign in again, and type the event’s name once more when you are back in Settings. If you sign in with an emailed link and have no password, choose Email me a sign-in link instead, open the email in the same browser, and type the event’s name once more when it brings you back. A wrong password deletes nothing.

Download anything you want to keep first. The archive ZIP takes seconds and is the whole point of the export-first promise; there is no way to get it back afterwards.

Deleting one event does not affect your account or any other event you host.
