What happens to a free event after the event is over?

Free galleries are kept for six months after the event date and then removed; you are warned first by email and on your dashboard, and upgrading keeps them.

A free gallery is not kept indefinitely. It is removed six months after the event date — every photo and guestbook message with it.

You are warned first. We email you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the date, each time with the exact day, and a notice on your dashboard shows the same day and how many days are left. Nothing is ever removed until the 7-day and 1-day emails have been sent.

• Upgrading the event stops it. An upgraded event is no longer on the free retention path at all.
• Downloading the archive gives you your own copy regardless. While a free event is due for deletion, its archive can be downloaded from the dashboard.
