What happens if I lose signal halfway through uploading?
Your photos are held on your own device and the upload resumes when you are back in signal; a failed one can be retried from its tile.
Venue WiFi is the usual culprit and the upload screen is built for it. Photos you have taken are stored on your own device, so going offline — or locking your phone, or reloading the page — does not lose them. A banner tells you that you are offline and that uploading will resume by itself.
Each photo uploads on its own, so one failure does not take the others with it. A failed tile is retried automatically a few times, and then offers a Retry upload button you can tap yourself.
Do not close the tab mid-save
If you try to leave while photos are still going, the browser warns you first. Wait for “Add to the gallery” to finish — that final step is what actually puts them in the gallery.
Crowded venues are where signal drops most: festival photo sharing sets out how uploads cope at a big event.
