How do I set a cover photo for my event?

Upload one on the Settings tab, or when you create the event — it is its own upload, not one of your guests’ photos, and it appears once it has passed its check.

On the Settings tab, under Cover photo, tap the empty space (or Change cover photo) and choose a picture. You can also add one while creating the event. The cover sits at the top of the invitation, the event page guests land on and the gallery, and it is the image that shows when a link to the event is shared in a message or on social media.

The cover is always a picture you upload for the purpose. A photo a guest shared to the gallery cannot become the cover. Your upload goes through the same cleaning and the same content check as every photo, and it appears once that check finishes — usually within a minute. Until then guests see no cover. A picture that has not been checked can never be the most public image of your event.

A cover does not count towards your event’s photo allowance, so you can set or change it even when the gallery is full. Choosing a new cover replaces the old one, which is deleted. Remove cover takes it away, and the pages go back to showing none.
