What should I check before the event starts?

Scan your own QR code as a guest would, confirm the privacy setting and access code, and decide whether you want to approve everything.

  1. Scan your own QR code on a phone that is not signed in. It is the only test that proves the whole path works, including the access code.
  2. Check the privacy setting. Public, protected or private — and if it is protected, make sure the access code is somewhere guests will see it.
  3. Decide about approval. With Require approval on, nothing appears until you publish it. Safe, but it means somebody has to be watching a queue during your own party.
  4. Check the photo allowance. The free plan’s allowance is easy to reach at a busy event; upgrading afterwards works, but guests who were turned away will not necessarily come back.
  5. Test the slideshow on the screen you plan to use, and check it is not going to sleep.

You can change all of it during the event

Privacy, approval, missions and branding all take effect immediately. Nothing here is a decision you are stuck with at 9pm.
