Where do I find and work the moderation queue?
The Moderation tab has one queue for photos waiting for a decision, oldest first, and one for guestbook messages awaiting approval.
The Moderation tab has two queues. The photo queue holds every photo waiting for a decision: photos held for your approval, photos the safety check flagged for a person to look at (they carry a Flagged chip), and photos still being checked. It starts with the photo that has waited longest. The second queue holds guestbook messages awaiting approval.
The photo queue shows a page of photos at a time. More load as you scroll down, or press Load more photos, and a line under the photos says how many of the whole queue you are looking at. Worst quality first puts the blurriest photos at the top; Oldest first puts the queue back in order.
Each item offers Approve or Delete. On the photo queue you can also tick several tiles, or use Select all for the whole queue — see How do I approve or hide several photos at once?. Guestbook messages are still one at a time.
Approving publishes it immediately: to the gallery, the slideshow and, for photos, the keepsakes. It also records your decision as the human review the item was waiting for, so an approved item never carries a flag afterwards.
“Safety check in progress”
Every photo has a safety check before anyone can make it public, and your approval cannot skip it. If you approve a photo whose check has not finished, your approval is kept and the tile reads Approved — waiting for its safety check: the photo appears by itself the moment the check passes, even when you review every photo. If the check flags it, it stays in the queue for you to look at; if the check blocks it, it is removed. Approve all says how many go into the gallery now and how many will follow once their checks finish.
Deleting is permanent, and you are asked to confirm.
“Still being prepared”
A photo can appear in the queue before its smaller versions exist, showing that label instead of an image. Give it a moment and reload — this is processing, not a problem.
