What is the difference between Keepsakes and the Shop?
Keepsakes are files you download and they come with a paid plan; the Shop is what we print and post, paid for one order at a time with no plan needed.
Keepsakes are downloads. On your event's Keepsakes tab you download files: the photo archive, the guestbook PDF, the word cloud, the highlight reel, and print-ready artwork such as the poster, beermats, table cards and thank-you cards. The downloads come with a paid plan, which you buy once for the event. The Mosaikin-branded poster and leaflet are free for every event.
The Shop is printing. Where you see Order printed on a Keepsakes card, we print that design with your event's QR code and post it to you. You pay for each order on its own, at the price shown, plus delivery. You do not need a plan to order a print: a free event can order printed beermats or table cards just as a paid one can.
Local makers are recommendations. The Shop page also lists independent businesses we recommend for your occasion. You buy from them directly, on their own site, and Mosaikin takes no payment for it.
The rule of thumb
A keepsake is downloaded. A print is ordered. If a card on the Keepsakes tab has a download button, it is a keepsake and your plan decides whether it is unlocked. If it has Order printed, it is a print and anyone who owns the event can buy it.
The two meet in the artwork: a printed beermat uses exactly the design you would download, so what you see in the design chooser is what arrives in the post.
